About OPF Town / OPF Housing Scheme

The OPF Housing Scheme is a housing scheme on Raiwind Road, Lahore, built by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), which comes under the federal Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis. Phase I, about 3 km from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, was approved by the OPF Board in 1986 and its development was completed in 1996. An adjacent extension and two smaller schemes further down Raiwind Road (OPF Town and OPF Farm Housing 'OPF Green') followed.

Most plots are allotted to overseas Pakistanis, and OPF auctions the leftover residential and commercial plots. Phase I is a developed, settled area: roads, sewerage, water, gas, electricity and the boundary wall are complete, and around a thousand houses had been built by OPF's count. In the Extension, gas and electrification were still pending in OPF's last update.
