Listing & Content Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Draft for legal review — not legal advice.

Every listing must describe a real, available property that the poster has the right to market. We remove anything that misleads buyers.

Required

  • Correct society, phase, block, size, price and purpose; a map pin inside the society boundary.
  • A truthful ownership document type (registry, transfer, allotment, file). Documents uploaded for verification stay private.
  • A description of at least 80 words, with no phone numbers, links or contact details in the text.
  • Replies to the availability check every 14 days. Unconfirmed listings pause after 48 hours.

Not allowed

  • Properties in housing schemes declared illegal or unapproved by the Lahore Development Authority or the relevant authority.
  • Bait prices, fake "sold-out" urgency, duplicate posts of the same property, or properties you are not authorised to sell.
  • Projects advertised without a valid NOC, or investment posts promising guaranteed returns.
  • Discriminatory wording (for example based on religion, ethnicity or caste) or abusive content.
  • Photos or images uploaded by users. Houseplot generates illustrations automatically.

Badges. "Checked" means documents were reviewed. "Available" shows the date the seller last confirmed. "Approved project" means we saw the NOC. Badges are not a guarantee of title. Buyers must carry out their own legal checks.

Enforcement. First breach: listing removed with a reason. Repeat breaches: posting limits, loss of badges, or suspension. Any user can press Report on a listing. Three reports hide a listing until we review it.
