What is Emporium Mall?
Emporium Mall — often called Nishat Emporium — is a large indoor shopping, dining and entertainment centre in Johar Town, south-west Lahore. Nishat Group began the project in 2013 and opened it on 30 June 2016. It is managed by Nishat Hotels and Properties Limited.
The building has a floor area of about 2.7 million square feet, according to Wikipedia, which also lists it among the largest malls in Pakistan. The mall itself says it hosts more than 300 local and international brands. Shops are spread over a basement and four levels (Level 0 to Level 3), with parking levels below.
A five-star hotel, The Nishat Hotel, stands next to the mall. Wikipedia puts it at about 200 rooms. That makes the mall a common stop for visitors attending events at the Expo Centre next door.
Where is Emporium Mall and how do you get there?
The mall's address is Abdul Haque Road, Johar Town, Lahore, adjacent to the Lahore International Expo Centre. Wikipedia places it in Q Block of Johar Town. If you use a map or ride-hailing app, search for "Emporium Mall, Abdul Haque Road" so you reach the main entrance rather than the Expo Centre gates.
By car or ride-hailing
Ride-hailing apps and rickshaws are the simplest way to arrive, because they drop you at the entrance and you avoid looking for parking at busy times. If you drive, follow your map app to Abdul Haque Road and the parking entrance. On weekend evenings and during Expo Centre exhibitions, expect slower traffic around the Expo Centre and allow extra time.
By public transport
Bus routes in Lahore change from time to time. Before you travel, check the current routes to Expo Centre / Johar Town with the Punjab Masstransit Authority or its feeder bus service, then take a rickshaw for the last stretch if needed.
Neighbourhoods close to the mall
The mall sits inside Johar Town. Areas a short drive away include Township, Wapda Town, Allama Iqbal Town and Model Town. Residents of these areas use Emporium as their nearest big mall.
What are Emporium Mall timings?
The mall is open seven days a week. These are the hours published on the mall's official website:
| Section | Days | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Retail shops & kiosks | Monday – Sunday | 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM |
| Food outlets & kiosks | Monday – Sunday | 10:00 AM – 12:00 midnight |
| Hypermarket | Monday – Sunday | 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM |
Cinema shows, the amusement park and individual restaurants may keep their own hours. Check each one's page or app before planning a late visit.
Emporium Mall floor-by-floor guide
The mall's own directory uses Basement 1 and Level 0 to Level 3. Some stores take up two floors. The table below shows what you will find on each level, with examples of Pakistani brands listed in the official directory.
| Level | What is there | Examples from the directory |
|---|---|---|
| Basement 1 | Car services, car wash, accessories, some beauty and mobile accessories | Car service area, car wash, accessory kiosks |
| Level 0 | Women's and men's fashion, footwear, watches, mobile phone stores, perfumes, a bank branch and currency exchange, desserts | Sapphire, Kayseria, Orient, Nakoosh, Ndure, Furor, J. (perfumes), MCB |
| Level 1 | Fashion and bridal wear, kids' clothing, home décor, jewellery, books, beauty | Maria B, Charcoal, Edenrobe Beauty, Hopscotch, Liberty Books, Tajik Shawls |
| Level 2 | Main fast-food court, cinema, trampoline park, fashion and jewellery | Khaadi, Beyond East, Agha Noor, Stitch, Cheezious, Universal Cinemas |
| Level 3 | Indoor amusement park, more dining, kids' and family fashion | Fun Factory, Bachaa Party, Focus Clothing |
If you are shopping for a wedding or Eid, start on Level 1 for formal and bridal wear, then Level 2 for designer prêt and Level 0 for footwear and accessories. Mobile phone brand stores are grouped on Level 0. If you are buying a used or imported phone anywhere in Lahore, check its PTA registration status first.
Food court and dining
The mall describes its food court as the largest in Pakistan, with more than 40 eateries. Wikipedia says it seats about 3,000 people. Most fast-food counters are listed on Level 2, close to the cinema, and there is more sit-down dining on Level 3. Dessert, juice and coffee counters are spread across Levels 0 and 1.
Food outlets are open until midnight, an hour later than the shops. That makes a late dinner after a film easy. On weekend evenings the food court is at its busiest, so families with young children often eat earlier, around 6 or 7 PM.
Cinema and family entertainment
| Attraction | Level | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Universal Cinemas | Level 2 | Multiplex cinema run by a Nishat group company; the operator calls it the largest multiplex in Pakistan. It shows Urdu, English and dubbed films, with premium and 3D halls. |
| Fun Factory | Level 3 | Indoor amusement park with rides and games; the mall calls it Pakistan's largest indoor amusement park. |
| Trampoline park | Level 2 | Trampoline and active-play area for children and teenagers. |
| Kids' rides | Level 1 | Small rides and play areas for younger children. |
Sources give different screen counts for the cinema (between 9 and 11). Book seats through the cinema's own website or app, especially on Friday nights and public holidays.
Parking at Emporium Mall
Emporium has a multi-level car park under the mall. Wikipedia puts its capacity at about 2,000 cars, with nearly three levels of parking ramps below the shopping floors. Basement 1 also has a car wash and car service area, so some visitors leave their car for a wash while they shop.
The mall's website does not publish parking charges. Check the rate at the entry barrier and keep your ticket safe. On weekend evenings and during Expo Centre exhibitions the car park fills faster, so a ride-hailing drop-off can save time.
Tips for visiting Emporium Mall
- Go on a weekday morning or early afternoon for quieter shops and easy parking. Weekend evenings are the busiest time.
- Check Expo Centre events before you go. Large exhibitions next door bring extra traffic to Abdul Haque Road.
- Plan sale visits. Pakistani fashion brands usually run end-of-season sales in summer and winter, and many offer pre-Eid collections and online-to-store promotions. Check each brand's own announcements.
- Use the directory first. With more than 300 brands on several levels, the official directory saves walking.
- Meet at a fixed point. In a big group, agree on a landmark such as a cinema entrance or the food court, because phone signal can be weak in parts of large buildings.
- Cash and cards. There is a bank branch and a currency exchange on Level 0, and most brand stores take cards.
