How the Lead Exchange works for agents
1. Register and get approved
Create a professional account with your agency name, office address and the societies you serve. Our team checks your office and documents before you can unlock leads. Approved agents get a public profile and an Agent Score.
2. See qualified leads
Customers post requirements to buy, rent, sell or rent out for free. Our Lead Desk checks each one — a reachable mobile number, a realistic budget or asking price, and a timeline — before it appears on the leads board, anonymised by society, type, size and budget.
3. Unlock with credits
You pay only for the leads you choose to unlock. The credit price is shown on the lead before you unlock it and depends on the purpose, budget band, timeline, lead quality and your Agent Score tier. There is no fee or commission to Houseplot on the deal itself.
4. Respond within two hours
Each customer chooses how many agents (1 to 5) may contact them. When those slots are filled, the lead closes to everyone else. Agents who unlock are expected to make first contact within two hours during working hours.
5. Refunds for bad leads
If a lead turns out to be fake, unreachable after three attempts on different days, or already closed, flag it within 72 hours. Approved disputes return the credits in full.
6. Grow your Agent Score
Response time, customer ratings, deals confirmed by customers, verified listings and complaints make up your score. A higher tier lowers your credit price per unlock and lifts your profile in society directories. Scores cannot be bought.
