What each part of the plan means
- Booking / down payment: paid when you reserve; ask whether it is refundable and on what terms.
- Confirmation or allocation: some plans add a payment when the plot number is confirmed.
- Monthly or quarterly installments: the main schedule; check the start date and whether late payment carries a surcharge or cancellation.
- Balloon or half-yearly payments: larger lumps that are easy to miss when you compare plans.
- Possession and development charges: often due at handover and not always included in the headline price.
Questions to ask the developer
- Is the scheme approved, and can I see the NOC and approved layout plan?
- Is the price fixed, or can development charges increase later?
- What happens if I miss an installment — grace period, surcharge, cancellation?
- What is the refund policy if I cancel, and how long does a refund take?
- When is the expected possession date, and what happens if it is delayed?
- Can I transfer the file before possession, and what does transfer cost?

About Lahore Smart City
Lahore Smart City is a private housing project linked to Habib Rafiq (Pvt) Ltd and Future Development Holdings (FDH), the group behind Capital Smart City near Islamabad. A December 2025 report described it as one of Habib Rafiq's flagship projects, offering pre-built Smart Villas on two-year installment plans.

- Approval cannot be confirmed: Lahore Smart City is not in the reproduced LDA approved list table (that page's text calls it LDA-approved, which its own table does not support), and it is not on the Aug 2024 or Jul 2026 LDA illegal lists. Ask LDA for written status and the QR code.
- Do not confuse with the Punjab government's 'smart city' plans for Lahore or with Capital Smart City (Islamabad), whose RDA NOC does not cover this project.
- Development details here come from a 2022 promotional page; current progress was not verified.
- The official website and office contact could not be opened; buy only through the developer's own office.
- Often sold on installments/files; files in unapproved or unconfirmed schemes carry high risk — confirm approval of the exact block or phase.
