Farmhouses for Rent in Lahore (Events & Parties)

Farmhouses in Lahore are rented by the day or night for weddings, mehndis, birthdays and family stays; event bookings must follow the Punjab Marriage Functions Act 2016 and the one-dish rule, which Punjab extended to farmhouses in 2025, and venues that break them have been fined and sealed.

Lahore families rent farmhouses for mehndis, small weddings, birthdays and weekend stays, usually for a day or a night. For events, the same rules as marriage halls now apply, and the district administration has sealed farmhouses that ignored them.

What a farmhouse rental means in Lahore

A rented farmhouse is usually a house with a lawn, often a pool, on agricultural or semi-rural land at the city's edge. Owners let it by the day, the night or the event.

Where farmhouses are found

Most sit on the city's rural fringe. Bedian Road runs south-east to Bedian village in Kasur district, about 30 km from central Lahore, and has seen active residential development, per Wikipedia.

Some of that fringe is near the border, and that matters. In July 2023, Profit reported that authorities found 91 illegal farm housing schemes, 62 in Tehsil Cantt and 29 in Tehsil Shalimar. Some lay within a restricted radius of the border, where the West Pakistan Border Area Regulation 1959 bars unauthorised development (ProPakistani).

A guest on a booking is not buying land. But a farmhouse in an illegal scheme is more likely to face enforcement, poor roads and no formal services.

Event rules that now cover farmhouses

The Punjab Marriage Functions Act 2016 limits wedding hours and menus. In February 2025, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered strict enforcement of the one-dish rule, and APP reported that it covers farmhouses and private properties, with fines and legal action for violators.

Enforcement followed. On 27 October 2025, the Lahore district administration targeted halls and farmhouses, imposing heavy fines for 13 violations and sealing nine venues over one-dish and timing breaches, per Dawn. The deputy commissioner ordered "zero tolerance" for halls and farmhouses alike.

Neither report states the permitted closing hour. Ask the owner what time the venue must end, and get it in writing.

What drives the booking price

Houseplot's indicative rent data (Oct 2026) covers long-term homes and portions, not event or daily farmhouse rates, so we do not quote a range. Price usually moves with:

• Date. Wedding season and weekends fill first.
• Guest count and lawn size. Capacity limits set the tier.
• Inclusions. Generator, decor, sound, catering, staff, cleaning.
• Duration. Day, evening or overnight.
• Distance. Easier access from the city costs more.

Ask for a written quote that lists every inclusion.

Checks before you pay an advance

1. Visit the farmhouse before booking, at the same time of day as your event.
2. Agree the end time, guest limit and one-dish compliance in writing.
3. Confirm who handles catering, and that the caterer knows the menu rules.
4. Check generator capacity, toilets, parking and the access road at night.
5. Confirm pool safety: fencing, depth markers and a supervisor for children.
6. For overnight stays, give guest CNIC details. Punjab Police's tenant registration system applies to tenants under the Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Act 2015.
7. Get a receipt for the advance and the refund terms if the event is cancelled or the venue is sealed.

Red flags

• The owner says event rules "do not apply" to farmhouses. Since 2025 they explicitly do.
• No written booking terms, or full payment demanded in cash.
• No clear address, or a location you cannot verify before the day.
• Unfenced pool, no backup power, or a single narrow access lane.
