Bedian Road runs south-east from Lahore towards Bedian village in Kasur district, about 30 km from the city centre, past DHA's eastern phases and a belt of farmhouses; renters should check guest registration, event rules and the scheme's LDA status, since three Bedian Road farm schemes appeared on a 2025 illegal list.
Farmhouses on Bedian Road sit along the route from Lahore towards Bedian village, about 30 km from the city centre, past DHA's eastern phases. They are rented by the day or night for family stays, parties and small events, and both guests and owners face Punjab rules on guest reporting and wedding functions.
Where Bedian Road runs
Bedian is a village in Kasur district close to the Indian border, about 30 km from Lahore's centre, linked to the city by Bedian Road (Wikipedia). The Upper Bari Doab Canal runs through the area.
Since January 2025, the Bedian Road traffic sector has covered Bhatha Chowk, PAF Golf Club, Gohawa, Elite Center, DHA Phase 6 and Raya Club as well as the road itself (ProPakistani). Those landmarks are useful when an owner gives directions.
| Point on the route | Why it matters to renters |
|---|---|
| DHA Phase 6 | Nearest large residential area |
| PAF Golf Club, Raya Club | Landmarks for directions |
| Gohawa, Elite Center | Mid-route reference points |
| Bedian village | Far end, near the border |
Farmhouse schemes and their status
An LDA list published by Pakistan Observer on 29 April 2025 named three Bedian Road schemes as illegal: Bedian Gated Farms, Lahore Greenz Farms and Spring Meadows. The same list named about a dozen farm schemes on nearby Barki Road.
For a one-night booking this is mostly a buyer's concern. It still matters to renters: an illegal scheme may have weak security, roads and power, and an owner there may be less willing to put terms in writing.
Rules that apply to a farmhouse stay
Guest registration. Since 2025 Punjab requires all private guesthouses and residential service providers, including properties booked through online booking platforms, to register on the Home Department's Hotel Eye system and upload guest data on arrival (ProPakistani). The report does not name farmhouses, but a farmhouse let to paying guests fits the description.
Under the 2015 temporary residents law, hotel-type guest details go to police within 24 hours of check-in. Penalties include up to six months' imprisonment and/or a Rs10,000–100,000 fine (LUMS). Expect the owner to ask for every adult guest's CNIC.
Events. In December 2025 Punjab said the one-dish rule at weddings will be strictly enforced at farmhouses and grounds, and ordered action against illegal loudspeaker use there (ProPakistani). If you book for a mehndi or walima, plan the menu and sound around that.
What drives the price of a booking
We found no reliable published rates for Bedian Road farmhouse rentals, and Houseplot's price files do not cover them. Ask each owner for a written quote that covers:
- Hours included (day slot, night slot, or 24 hours).
- Guest limit and charge per extra guest.
- Pool, lawn, rooms and kitchen access.
- Generator or solar backup, and who pays fuel.
- Security deposit and the conditions for deductions.
- Cleaning, staff and any decoration or catering restrictions.
Compare quotes on the same hours and guest count. A cheap slot that excludes backup power can cost more by the end of a June night.
Checks before you pay an advance
- Visit or video-call the property the same week.
- Get the owner's CNIC copy and confirm they own or manage the farmhouse.
- Ask whether the property is registered on Hotel Eye.
- Confirm in writing what happens to the advance if the booking is cancelled.
- Check the route at night: lighting, road condition and the last stretch off Bedian Road.
- For pools, ask about depth markings, a lifeguard or attendant, and supervision for children.
Red flags
- Full payment demanded upfront to a personal mobile wallet with no written terms.
- No address, only a pin, and refusal to allow a pre-visit.
- Owner says CNICs "aren't needed".
- Promise of unlimited music late at night despite the provincial crackdown.
This guide is general information; confirm current rules with the police, the LDA and a lawyer before you pay.
