DHA Lahore's older Phases 1–4 are built-up areas around Lahore Cantonment, Phases 5–8 lie further out, with Phases 5 and 7 on the Ring Road near the airport, Prism IX and the planned Phase 10 lie south-east between Bedian and Ferozepur roads, Phase 11 is Rahbar and Phase 12 is EME on Multan Road.

Key takeaways

  • DHA Lahore began in 1973 as a society of 34,000 kanals and says it now spans 312,000 kanals, about 25% of Lahore.
  • Phases 1–4 are built-up; new houses there are usually rebuilds.
  • Prism IX, the largest phase at over 40,000 kanals, opened possession for several sectors in May 2026.
  • Phase 10 (about 180,000 kanals, between Ferozepur and Bedian roads) was still files only in September 2026.
  • Prices fall the further a phase is from the core: a 1 kanal plot runs roughly 5.8–6.7 crore in Phase 6 against about 2.6–3.0 crore in Prism IX, on Houseplot's indicative data.

Quick answer

Think of DHA Lahore in three rings. The old core, Phases 1–4, sits around Lahore Cantonment and is fully built. The middle ring, Phases 5–8, lies further out; the Ring Road passes Phases 5 and 7 between the airport and Ferozepur Road. These phases are largely developed, with possession still being handed over in parts. The outer ring, Prism IX and the planned Phase 10, lies to the south-east between Bedian Road and Ferozepur Road. Phase 11 (Rahbar) and Phase 12 (EME) are separate pockets with their own transfer rules, and Phase 13 is trading as files.

DHA's own history page says it was raised in 1973, renamed Lahore Cantonment Co-operative Housing Society in 1975, converted to DHA by provincial ordinance in 1999 and federalised in 2002 (DHA Lahore).

Phase 1–4 (old DHA)

These are the original phases, built out of the LCCHS. Wikipedia's page on Lahore Cantonment lists DHA as one of the cantonment's neighbourhoods and places the DHA graveyard in S-Block, Phase II, next to Ghazi Road (Wikipedia).

What a buyer should know:

  • Fully built. Avenir Developments' review of DHA notices calls Phases 1–4 "built-up", where new houses are usually rebuilds (Avenir, Sep 2026).
  • Different paperwork. DHA's transfer page says owners in Phases 1–4 must surrender the original sale deed, where applicable, at transfer (DHA Lahore transfer).
  • No price data. Houseplot's indicative data does not cover Phases 1–4, so we do not give ranges for them.

Phase 5–8

Phase Location notes (sourced) Status in 2026
Phase 5 On the Ring Road alignment near Phase 7 and the airport section 17 plots handed over in two notices, March 2026
Phase 6 DHA's main office is in Sector A, Phase 6, on Shabbir Sharif Main Boulevard; Bedian Underpass links it to Phase 9 40 plots in two notices, 27 commercial
Phase 7 On the Ring Road beside Phase 5; includes commercial Sector Z 247 plots in five notices in 2026
Phase 8 Formerly Park View; includes Ivy Green 180 plots in eight notices; Sectors D and Y conditional possession

Sources: Ring Road listing of "DHA Phases V and VII" between the airport and Sui Gas Society (AARoads); Phase 6 office and Bedian Underpass (DHA bulletin, 2022); 2026 notices (Avenir). Phases 5 and 8 surrender share certificates, where applicable, at transfer (DHA Lahore transfer).

Phase 6 is the one most buyers mean when they say "DHA" today. It has the main office, active commercial possession in 2026 and a direct underpass to Prism IX. Phase 8, being ex-Park View, still carries some legacy documents in its transfer process.

Phase 9 Prism & Town, Rahbar

Prism IX

DHA calls Prism its premier project, with direct access from Lahore Ring Road, Bedian Road and neighbouring DHA phases (DHA Lahore). DHA's 2022 bulletin described it as the largest phase, with over 40,000 kanals, about ten minutes from Allama Iqbal International Airport (DHA bulletin).

May 2026 was a milestone:

Stage Date Sectors Plots
I 5 May 2026 Sector A + commercial A and C 743 residential (38 two-kanal, 705 one-kanal) + commercial
II 18 May 2026 Sectors J, L, M + commercial L and M 2,747 (J), 1,293 (L), 1,043 (M) + 50 commercial

Phase 9 Town

A small phase on Bedian Road, with 5 marla plots. Only two plots appeared in a single 2026 notice, dated 21 May (Avenir). We have no price data for it.

Rahbar (Phase 11) and EME (Phase 12)

Rahbar is Phase 11, with five sectors and its latest possession notice dated 2 October 2024 (Avenir). EME is Phase 12, on Multan Road near Thokar Niaz Baig. For both, DHA requires a property tax clearance certificate from Excise and Taxation and a TTIP receipt from the local government before transfer (DHA Lahore transfer). That is an extra step to budget time for.

Phase 10 and Phase 13

DHA describes Phase 10 as about 180,000 kanals between Ferozepur Road and Bedian Road, adjacent to Prism, with Ring Road access (DHA Lahore). As of September 2026 it had no published map, ballot or possession notice. Phase 13 (ex-DHA City) had transfers open since 2019, but also no DHA map or possession notice (Avenir). Both are file markets.

Prices by phase

All figures are Houseplot's indicative price data (Jun–Aug 2026), shown as ±7% ranges around the average.

Phase 5 marla plot 10 marla plot 1 kanal plot 10 marla house 1 kanal house
Phase 5 about 1.86–2.14 crore about 2.40–2.76 crore about 4.91–5.65 crore about 5.81–6.69 crore about 10.19–11.73 crore
Phase 6 about 1.17–1.35 crore about 2.54–2.92 crore about 5.83–6.71 crore about 5.44–6.26 crore about 12.24–14.08 crore
Phase 8 about 83–96 lac about 1.73–1.99 crore about 4.06–4.68 crore about 4.61–5.31 crore about 10.12–11.64 crore
Prism IX about 86–99 lac about 1.44–1.66 crore about 2.59–2.97 crore no data about 7.21–8.29 crore
EME (Phase 12) about 1.49–1.71 crore about 2.67–3.07 crore about 5.21–5.99 crore about 6.34–7.30 crore about 9.90–11.38 crore

We do not have indicative data for Phases 1–4, 7, 9 Town, 10, 11 or 13.

Two patterns stand out. A 1 kanal plot in Prism costs roughly half what it does in Phase 6. And the Phase 5 five-marla plot figure is high relative to Phase 6, which may reflect few small plots in that phase; the Phase 5 small-plot average also dates from June 2026.

What we'd do

For a family that wants to live in DHA soon, we would look at built or possession-ready plots in Phases 6, 7 or 8, where neighbours already exist. For a long-term plot holder, Prism IX sectors now in possession are the clearest value. We would treat Phase 10 and Phase 13 files as speculation until DHA publishes a ballot.
